Animated Short - Personal Project
I've been putting this together in my spare time, mainly just to try out new techniques and experiment with using AI and how it may slot into my workflow. I used Midjourney AI to create base textures for the environments and the "Eye Drone" I used photoshop and redshift to add displacement, bump, etc to the flat images and make them come to life in my scenes.
Cavalry App is also a tool I wanted to try out. I used it to create the FUI overlay that emits from the humanoid character at 14:00. I would typically use X-particles for this type of thing but I wanted to see if I could use a 2d vector alternative and spruce it up in post production. I think it looks pretty good in the end considering it's just duplicated lines emitted via a procedural pulse force.
I also used Midjourney to generate a bunch of nasty looking red eyes to be my antagonist. I was super happy with some of these results and I almost wanted to make more than one just to use some more of the eyes. I finally settled on one particularly gnarly looking eyeball and put it together using the previously mentioned techniques.

Midjourney AI used to generate eyes to be used in redshift
