I recently took part in the "Summer of Unreal" course hosted by Escape Studios via Epic Games. Throughout the 4 weeks, we deep-dived into every aspect of using UE4 for cinematic work. Escape Studios put everyone into groups that consisted of no 2 people from the same profession or country so every group was a real melting pot of skills and backgrounds. My group consisted of a director of photography, lighting artist, pre-vis artist, animator, modeler, and me in motion / VFX. Remote working across several countries with no version control software had its challenges but it was also a great learning experience and so many of the things I learned in the course have filtered into my workflow. Below you can see what we came up with within our spare time implementing what we were learning from the course. I did the voxel modeling, voices, music, and sound fx, post-production, and editing.
